His Beatitude Patriarch YOUNAN Exempts Residents of

the Saint Ephrem Residential Complex in Beirut

from Rent Payments for October and November 2026

    In light of current living conditions and difficult economic circumstances, particularly with the approach of the new academic year in schools and universities, and out of empathy for the heavy financial burdens placed on our families, His Beatitude Patriarch Mor Ignatius Youssef III YOUNAN, Patriarch of Antioch for the Syriac Catholic Church, has decided to exempt the residents of the Saint Ephrem Residential Complex in Achrafieh - Beirut from rent payments for the months of October and November 2026, in the hope that this gesture will help support our sons and daughters during these hard times.

    It is worth noting that this paternal gesture is not the first of its kind. His Beatitude has previously exempted the residents of this complex from rent payments on several occasions, covering the following months: July and August 2020, April and May 2022, February, March, April, and May 2023, and January and February 2024.

    This is in addition to His Beatitude's exemption of Syriac students from tuition fees for the new academic year 2026-2027 at the Lycée du Musée School in Beirut and the Charfet School in Harissa, alongside offering reduced, affordable rates for students from other denominations for the seventh consecutive academic year.
